The veterinary medicine has a lot of terms that are unknown to people. That's why I created a glossary for people wanting to learn and use these terms in their future job connected to the health animal field.
Anesthesia

Insensitivity to pain, especially as artificially induced by the administration of gases or the injection of drugs before surgical operations.
Example: Local ANESTHESIA has the advantage of allowing direct evaluation of the patient's neurologic status without sophisticated monitoring.

Blood Test
Noun
A scientific examination of a sample of blood, typically for the diagnosis of illness or for the detection and measurement of drugs or other substances.
Example: In October 2005 was having episodes of postural hypotension and agreed to have a BLOOD TEST.

Catheter

A flexible tube inserted through a narrow opening into a body cavity, particularly the bladder, for removing fluid.
Example: Another study evaluated the outcomes, safety, and efficacy of an indwelling pleural drainage CATHETER (PDC) system compared with VATS. 41 consecutive patients with symptomatic MPE between 2000 and 2002 and concluded that the PDC system is an efficacious treatment of patients with MPEs [7]

Cells
Noun
The smallest structural and functional unit of an organism, typically microscopic and consisting of cytoplasm and a nucleus enclosed in a membrane. Microscopic organisms typically consist of a single cell, which is either eukaryotic or prokaryotic.
Example: Chloroplasts and mitochondria have other features in common: both often migrate from place to place within CELLS and both mitochondria and chloroplasts contain similar types of electron transport proteins and use an F-class ATPase to synthesise ATP.

Example: Using a sub-millimetre fibreoptic micro-ENDOSCOPE inserted through the ductal opening on the nipple surface, it is possible to obtain video images as well as ductal washings for cytological analysis.

Fluid

Example: The diagnosis relies upon demonstrating the presence of trypanosomes by microscopic examination of chancre FLUID, lymph node aspirates, blood, bone marrow, or, in the late stages of infection, cerebrospinal FLUID (CSF). The vial contains clear Hexane FLUID and is transparent on both sides to allow permeation of light.

Gingivitis

Example: Some of the most common clinical signs of infection are: Oral infections - Such as GINGIVITIS and stomatitis, both very painful inflammations of the gums and mouth and due to an under-active immune systems.
